You may have noticed our fascination with Apple and its products. That’s because we can’t seem to get enough of them. Apple Computers, as far as we are concerned, is the leader in technology innovation as well as style. Not only do they get the hardware and software right, but they do it so that it looks so good! From the iPod to the much covetted Mac Pro, Apple knows where it’s at when it comes to beautiful technology that also works the way it’s supposed to.
Everyone at Legal Poison has an iPhone and a Mac of some kind for his/her personal use. That’s really saying something! If it were’nt for this blessed “fruit” then we would be slaving away on a PC to do what we do. Now that’s not to say that we don’t employ PC’s to do some things, although it’s usually to babysit IE6. Our 3D design and development is handled on a PC, but that’s not to say that Mac can’t do the same. At some point we will begin our 3D development with the use of Cinema 4D. For now we are chained to Parallels and/or high-performance PC’s to run 3D Studio Max.
Honestly, I personally learned on a Mac computer from the time I was 13 up to the present. During college, I had a brief stint with the PC, but only to create my portfolio and graduate. Once I was out, I was all Mac, and I haven’t looked back since.
Soon, Mac will most definitely catch up with the PC in the corporate market. It’s only a matter of time. When I’ve gone in to accept a position with a design company they almost always asked my preference, Mac or PC? Since I don’t work on the “neck tie and jacket” side of things I don’t know if this is asked during a job offer. But I have no doubt that it will be soon that we will see Mac, if not topple, definitely go toe-to-toe with the PC market.
